2009-04-09		'Coming to Grips' in second printing "Coming to Grips with Genesis: Biblical Authority and the Age of the Earth" (Master Books, 2008), the new book in honor of Dr. John Whitcomb, is already ready for its second printing. Praise the Lord for the early response to this strategically important new volume.
2010-08-03		Dr. Whitcomb honored in July/August 'Baptist Bulletin' The "Baptist Bulletin" magazine is honoring Dr. John Whitcomb in its July/August issue, which was released July 1. The issue contains an interview with Dr. Whitcomb conducted by Kevin Mungons, managing editor of the "Baptist Bulletin," as well as an article on the history behind the the writing of "The Genesis Flood" which was written by WMI ministry assistant Paul Scharf. 2011 will mark the 50th anniversary of that historic book, co-authored by Dr. Whitcomb and the late Dr. Henry Morris. This article introduces several celebrations which are already being planned to commemorate this milestone. Indeed, next year will be a special one for Whitcomb Ministries and the entire Whitcomb family, as it also marks 40 years of marriage for Dr. John and Norma Whitcomb and 60 years of ministry for Dr. Whitcomb. He talks about the fellowship that they shared while serving together on a mission board, and gives an interesting anecdote that sheds light on an ailment that Dr. Whitcomb had to overcome through his many years of service to the Lord God. 2006-07-09		Biography Project Blog Entry: July 9, 2006 Hi folks! My name is Paul Scharf, and I am working on compiling Dr. Whitcomb's biography. Only the Lord knows all that may come of this project, but I have a real burden to ensure that the story of Dr. Whitcomb's life and ministry is not lost to future generations of Bible students, because he has had such a dramatic impact on me. To date, I have compliled about 11 hours of taped interviews with Dr. and Mrs. Whitcomb on their life story and related matters. It is difficult to get this material together, not only because we live a few hours apart, but also because when we are with one another other tasks usually take precedence. I try, however, to keep making some forward progress as opportunity allows. From time to time, I will check in to let you know of any developments and tell you how things are going. If you think of it, please pray for God's blessing on this project. Also, if you have any historical information or documents that you are willing to share, please do not be shy about doing so.
